Community Guidelines

IIT Network – Give Back, Get Connected

Last Updated: October 1, 2026

Version: 1.1

ENIP exists to help people build kind, genuine connections. These Community Guidelines explain what is and isn't allowed on ENIP so that every member can use the Platform safely and respectfully. They apply to your profile, photos, posts, comments, private messages, calls, and any other activity on ENIP, and, in certain cases described below, to your conduct toward other members outside the Platform.

By using ENIP, you agree to follow these Guidelines. Violating them may result in content removal, feature restrictions, warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from ENIP, and, where the law requires or allows, a report to the appropriate authorities. These Guidelines work alongside our Terms of Use, EULA, Child Safety Policy and Privacy Policy. ENIP has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We review every report within 24 hours (see Reporting and Enforcement).

1. Adult Nudity and Sexual Activity

We celebrate self-expression and diversity, and encourage profile photos that reflect bodies of all shapes and sizes. Athletic wear is permitted indoors or outdoors, and swimwear is permitted in outdoor photos.

However, we do not allow profile photos or shared links that depict:

  • genitals or pubic regions, bare buttocks, or women's nipples/areolas — even if partially covered by emojis, hair, or transparent clothing;
  • visible explicit outlines of genitals;
  • people in lingerie or underwear;
  • sexual acts of any kind, even if not explicitly visible; or
  • digitally created or drawn imagery (cartoons, memes, anime, drawings) depicting any of the above, whether or not it includes real people.

We do not allow ENIP to be used for any commercial exchange of sexual or romantic acts, including:

  • selling, advertising, or buying sexual acts for money or anything of value (e.g. sex work, escort services);
  • selling, advertising, or buying adult sexual content (e.g. pornography, webcamming), or redirecting members to adult content sites; and
  • seeking or offering a romantic/sexual arrangement in exchange for money, financial support, or gifts (e.g. "sugar daddy"/"sugar baby" arrangements).

We encourage members to be transparent about what they are looking for, but we do not permit overly obscene sexual content in public profiles or usernames, including explicit or vulgar detail about kinks, or descriptions of sexual acts.

2. Bullying and Abusive Conduct

ENIP is about building kind connections, and we want your experience to be free of harassment, bullying, or targeting. Members may not:

  • engage in bullying, belittling, insulting, mocking, trolling, intimidating, dehumanising, or degrading behaviour;
  • make harmful, unsolicited comments about someone's body or appearance;
  • wish, encourage, or praise violence, or threaten violence resulting in non-serious bodily injury;
  • engage in emotional abuse or manipulation;
  • repeat unwanted contact of any kind;
  • blame, shame, or target someone based on their status as a survivor of sexual assault, exploitation, harassment, or domestic abuse;
  • release someone's private contact information, photos, or other identifying information without consent;
  • blackmail a member by threatening to reveal embarrassing, compromising, or private (non-sexual) information;
  • create a profile with the malicious intent of publishing defamatory content about someone; or
  • share content disrespectful toward victims, survivors, or families affected by suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders.

This includes conduct directed at public figures — you may criticise public figures, but abusive conduct in any form is not tolerated.

3. Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse

ENIP has zero tolerance for content that sexualises or endangers children, real or fictional (including anime, digital images, illustrations, and text). We prohibit uploading, storing, producing, sharing, or soliciting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) under any circumstances, including where the stated intent is to condemn or raise awareness of the issue.

If you share photos of children (including your own childhood photos), they must be fully clothed and the child must not appear alone in the image. We do not allow profile photos depicting a baby's, toddler's, or child's genitalia or buttocks, even partially covered.

Any violation of this policy will result in immediate and permanent removal from ENIP and a report to the appropriate authorities as required by law. See also our Child Safety Policy.

4. Commercial and Promotional Activity

ENIP is not a marketplace. We do not allow:

  • unsolicited or irrelevant advertising or promotion of a product, brand, service, event, investment, business, or performance;
  • recruitment or promotion of multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes;
  • unsolicited promotion of your social media or website in private messages (see also Spam);
  • sharing financial account details, payment links, or money-transfer usernames on your profile; or
  • creating accounts solely to promote a political party or electoral candidate in connection with an election.

Members may promote their own business or service on their profile, and may share links to a CV, resume, professional networking profile, or business website.

5. Controlled Goods and Substances

Members may not use ENIP to buy, sell, supply, distribute, promote, or facilitate the purchase, sale, supply, or distribution of illegal drugs or controlled goods and substances (including e-cigarettes, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, or misuse of legal substances such as prescription drugs, tobacco, or alcohol). This includes content that depicts or promotes drug use or misuse, facilitates purchase or sale, or provides instructions for obtaining, using, or manufacturing such substances.

Discussion or imagery shared explicitly for educational or health-related purposes may be permitted in private messages or group chats, provided your intent is made clear; otherwise, the content may be removed and action may be taken against your account.

6. Terrorism and Violent Extremism

We do not allow content or behaviour that promotes, incites, glorifies, or supports terrorist or violent-extremist groups, individuals, or their activities, including:

  • expressions of support for designated or known terrorist/extremist groups, their ideologies, manuals, manifestos, or propaganda;
  • dissemination of related symbols, flags, gestures, or slogans;
  • conspiring with, recruiting, or inciting participation in terrorist or extremist activity; and
  • glorification of violence, positive portrayal of attacks or perpetrators, threats of attacks, or facilitation of training or material support for such organisations.

Discussion for the purpose of awareness, education, or condemnation may be permitted in private messages or group chats, provided your intent is clear and no graphic content is shared; otherwise content may be removed, your account may face action, and the matter may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

7. Identity-Based Hate

ENIP is a diverse, inclusive community, and we take a strong stance against identity-based hate — content or conduct that promotes hate, dehumanisation, degradation, or contempt toward people based on protected attributes such as race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, caste, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability or serious health condition, or religion. This includes:

  • threats, praise, or wishes of violence, death, or serious harm referencing a protected attribute;
  • identity-based slurs or epithets used to cause harm;
  • support or glorification of hate groups, or sharing their symbols or imagery;
  • insults, contempt, degrading language, harmful stereotypes, mockery, or taunting based on a protected attribute;
  • denial of the severity or existence of hate crimes or historical atrocities;
  • intentional misgendering or dead-naming; and
  • reporting members to ENIP for no reason other than their gender identity or another protected attribute.

This applies equally to identity-based hate directed at public figures and non-members.

8. Inauthentic Profiles

ENIP celebrates authenticity, and members are expected to represent themselves accurately. Initials, abbreviations, or shortened versions of your real name are fine, provided they remain a genuine variation of your actual name.

We do not allow impersonation or misrepresentation, including:

  • catfishing (creating a persona that isn't you);
  • using someone else's photos, or artificially generated or heavily enhanced photos, to deceive others;
  • creating or sharing AI-generated or digitally altered images, audio or video, including deepfakes, that falsely depict a real person or that are sexually explicit, without clear disclosure. Sexually explicit or intimate deepfakes are removed immediately;
  • misrepresenting your name, gender, age, or permanent location;
  • pretending to be another person, including a celebrity or other public figure;
  • letting someone else access or control your account;
  • sharing content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, name, likeness, or privacy; and
  • using profile photos containing a QR code, URL, internet memes, or images that are primarily text.

9. Misinformation

We do not allow demonstrably false or substantially misleading content that is likely to cause serious harm or negatively affect individual or public safety, including:

  • content contradicting guidance from reputable public-health authorities on communicable diseases, or unproven "cures";
  • demonstrably false or misleading information about abortion care intended to mislead or harm (this does not prohibit sincere, respectful expression of personal opinions or policy views);
  • false or misleading claims about elections, voting, or other civic processes;
  • dangerous, unproven conspiracy theories that could create safety risks;
  • content from, or links to, sites known to spread misinformation;
  • denial of the existence or severity of hate crimes or historical events; and
  • content manipulated or taken out of context to mislead others.

10. Physical and Sexual Violence

We have zero tolerance for content or behaviour that commits or credibly threatens physical or sexual violence, including:

  • threatening or committing physical harm;
  • threatening or committing sexual assault of any kind — including unwanted sexual touching, non-consensual removal of clothing or barrier contraceptives ("stealthing"), or non-consensual sexual penetration or attempts at it;
  • credible threats of violence resulting in serious injury or death;
  • physical stalking, including surveilling or showing up at someone's location to intimidate or force contact; and
  • using the Platform to facilitate exploitation or human trafficking.

We strongly encourage members to report such behaviour, whether it occurs on ENIP, between members in person, or elsewhere. Where appropriate, we may cooperate with law-enforcement authorities and refer members to external support resources.

11. Scams, Fraud, and Theft

ENIP strictly prohibits any scam, fraud, or theft intended to defraud or manipulate members out of financial or material resources, including:

  • asking other members for money, loans, investments, or donations;
  • lying about your intentions, or faking romantic interest, for financial gain;
  • misrepresenting your name, gender, age, or location for financial gain; and
  • physically taking someone's property or assets without consent.

12. Sexual Harassment

We prohibit any non-physical, unwanted, and unwelcome sexual behaviour, including:

  • cyberflashing (sending unsolicited sexually explicit images);
  • in-person indecent exposure;
  • obtaining, sharing, or threatening to share intimate images, videos, or private sexual conversations without consent ("revenge porn" or non-consensual intimate imagery);
  • unwanted sexual comments, questions, or advances, including sexualised remarks about someone's body;
  • fetishising a member without their consent; and
  • sending unwanted sexualised imagery, memes, or pornographic content or links.

Your conduct off-platform matters too — we may take action against your account for engaging in sexual harassment in person, on another platform, or over text, in order to protect other members.

Reports of intimate images shared without consent, including morphed or AI-generated images, are acted on within 2 hours.

13. Spam

We do not allow spam — unwanted or irrelevant content sent in bulk or at high frequency, including:

  • content designed to deceive members into increasing views or followers;
  • misleading links, including links imitating a reputable brand or service;
  • sharing contact details or other sensitive self-identifying information in your profile or profile photo;
  • unsolicited promotion of your social media or website in private messages;
  • images containing links or QR codes; and
  • creating multiple accounts that disrupt other members, or maintaining multiple active profiles to engage in unwanted interactions.

14. Suicide and Self-Injury

We care about our members' wellbeing, and understand that some may face mental-health challenges, self-injury, suicidal thoughts, substance use, or eating disorders. Members may share their personal experiences in a safe, non-graphic way, but we do not allow content that depicts, promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for suicide, self-injury, or disordered eating or body image, including:

  • encouraging, promoting, or instructing suicide or self-injury;
  • promoting, normalising, or glorifying disordered eating or dieting;
  • graphic imagery depicting self-injury or suicide;
  • content disrespectful toward victims, survivors, or affected families; and
  • dangerous "challenges" or amateur acts that could cause serious harm.

If we identify content that may describe suicidal or self-injurious plans, intent, or thoughts, we may remove the content and direct the member to local support resources, and, where we believe there is imminent danger, contact local emergency services.

If you are struggling, please know that support is available, including through local emergency services and mental-health helplines in India, such as Tele-MANAS (14416) and, in an emergency, 112.

15. Violent and Graphic Content

We do not permit violent or graphic content, including:

  • imagery containing real or realistic blood, bodily fluids, violence, or injury (including graphic wounds, self-injury, hunting, or food-preparation gore, human bones or organs, fetal remains or miscarriages, or graphic medical procedures);
  • imagery showing the violent, shocking, or graphic death or injury of a person or animal;
  • imagery of human remains or corpses;
  • images depicting guns of any kind, other than images of uniformed law-enforcement or military personnel; and
  • graphic descriptions of violence or physical injury in usernames or profile content, including references to dangerous organisations or individuals.

16. Other Prohibited Content

We also do not allow:

  • content that is unlawful or that violates any applicable law;
  • content that infringes copyright, trademark, or another person's rights;
  • malware, viruses or any code designed to damage or disrupt ENIP; and
  • content that threatens the sovereignty, integrity or security of India, or public order.

Reporting and Enforcement

Zero tolerance. ENIP has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content or conduct that violates these Guidelines is removed, and the responsible members are suspended or permanently removed.

Report and block. You can report any profile, message, photo, call or other content, and block any member, in the App at the block option on their profile. People who are not members can report to [email protected].

Our response times. We review every report within 24 hours of receiving it and, where we find a violation, remove the content and suspend or remove the responsible account. We act within the shorter times required by law, currently 2 hours for intimate images shared without consent, including morphed or AI-generated images. Reports involving children are prioritised as set out in our Child Safety Policy. We comply with lawful orders of courts and government authorities within the time they specify.

Appeals. If you believe we removed content or an account by mistake, write to [email protected] within 30 days and we will review the decision.

Where conduct may be criminal in nature, we may also report it to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities and cooperate with any resulting investigation.

Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect the evolving needs of our community and applicable law. The updated version will be posted on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date.
